Remembrances

This series of objects is a reflection on the past and the present through the story of a tree. These remembrances of a tree within a tree form a kind of ouroboros of life and death, of past and present — a metaphor of the path, an attempt to determine its sources and its vector, its cycles, and what comes after.

The objects are made by hand-milling a block of oak with an appliqué of handmade ceramic tile bearing a generated image applied by hot decal.
