Mists

2025—2026
This series continues a reflection on the relation between personal choice and the structural circumstances a person finds themselves in. Departing from the final work of the project “White as Soot,” the series turns to uncertainty as a space in which the direction of movement, the perspective and the very possibility of choice remain not fully clarified.
The works are based on generated images of a “place without a place”: landscapes that seem recognisable yet cannot be precisely located. Time has stopped; the perspective receding into mist is hard to read — forward or back, winter or summer to come, even the time of day. A calm uncertainty runs through every layer; even the technique is unclear at first: ceramics or canvas, photograph or painting.
